Try to end your examination of a witness at a predetermined strategic place. Your next witness should pick up where the prior witness left off with the facts or theme. This allows you to tell a compelling story through your witnesses that your jury can easily understand.
If done correctly, your jurors will be asking themselves, "I wonder who he will call next?" rather than, "when will this attorney be finished with her witnesses?"
